What they wore at home, for Christmas, for evening wear, at the beach or going skiing. A real time capsule! It’s sad in a way that people throw these out. They represent real lives lived. Reblogged this on Penney Vanderbilt and KC Jones: All About Railroads.
The Bride looked so beautiful, elegant. Unlike now with strapless low, low cut wedding dresses with their bosoms hanging out – ugly, common. 1950s when I was growing up a time of elegance, I remember my Mother’s high heel shoes, hats and gloves and ofcourse the handbag to match. She had a great pair of legs too (not much love that was real for me, but good legs).
I liked it.Before my time. My boss REALLY liked it. GREAT§
Thanks for sharing Penney!!💕
Surely this is a brilliant blog!
